You can enroll via our website by entering your zip code and promo code (if applicable) or contact our Customer Service team toll free at 1-888-594-9299 to assist you with your enrollment over the phone.
During our enrollment process, you can select from the following methods: standard switch, self-selected switch, or new service.
  • Standard Switch: You currently have electric service at this location with another provider in your name and are not under contract. Will occur in 7 days or less.
  • Self-Selected Switch: You currently have electric service at this location with another provider in your name and would like service to start on a specific date. You can select same day or next day service depending on your meter technology. Your local utility company will assess a fee for this type of service.
  • New Service: You currently do not have electric service at this location and would like service to be connected. You can select same day or next day service depending on your meter technology. Your local utility company will assess a fee for this connection.
No. You will still receive the same reliable service. Your local utility company will continue to deliver the same electricity, read your meters, and service your power outages.
During the enrollment process a credit check will be performed to determine if a deposit is necessary. Deposits can be waived under special circumstances such as victims of domestic violence and individuals over 65 who are not delinquent in payment of their electric service account. You can also bypass the credit check by providing a letter of credit from your current electric service provider which states you have not been late more than once over the previous consecutive 12 months. Yes. You can make payments and set up services such as auto draft through our Manage My Account feature. We accept E-check, American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. You can also make payments at Ace Cash Express. When paying a deposit with Ace, you will need to provide your phone number for validation. For a complete list of their locations click the link below.

No. Our friendly customer service representatives are here to assist you Monday through Friday 8AM to 6PM CST with any questions and you will never be assessed a service fee for speaking with them.
Summer Energy will provide you with a renewal notice and renewal options at this time. If you do not choose to lock, you will be placed on our month to month rate until another plan is selected.
